ATMORE – Mr. Leon Lawrence Troutman, Sr., 86, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010 at a local hospital.

Mr. Troutman was a native of Robinsonville and a lifelong resident of Atmore. He was a retired employee from Monsanto after working for several years and attended the Atmore First Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy Reeves and a grandson, Bradley Scott Barnett.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Willie Lois Troutman of Atmore; a son, Larry and Linda Troutman of Raleigh, N.C.; a daughter, Beverly and James Barnett of Barnett Crossroads; a son-in-law, Jerry Reeves of Gadsden; six grandchildren, Randal and Suzanne Barnett of Atmore, Shannon and John Dransfield of Daphne, Jason and Jen Barnett of Excel, Blane and Tiffany Davis of Birmingham, Reed Davis of Trussville and Parker Troutman of Raleigh, N.C.; four great grandchildren, Molly Barnett, Carder Dransfield, Cade Barnett and Emma Scott Barnett; three sisters, Margaret Lockwood of Atmore, Doris and Lawrence Cooper of Bratt, Fla. and Quida and Lowell McGill of Atmore and a sister-in-law, Marjorie Troutman of Atmore.

Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010 at the Oak Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Arnold Hendrix officiating. Visitation was held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 15, 2010 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Clark Hill, Parker Troutman, Randal Barnett, John Dransfield, Jason Barnett, Reed Davis and Blane Davis.
