Dear editor,

I am seeking help in finding information about the Rev. Noblet who served as pastor of Poplar Dell Baptist Church in Byrneville in 1925. Our church is working on a 100-year historical book.

According to our records, a Rev. Noblet was the pastor during that time for about one year. We do not even know his first name. We were a member of the Baptist Association during that time, but they have no records of a Rev. Noblet on file.

I have found that the Noblet family was instrumental in helping to “found” the City of Atmore. I do know that many local pastors were shared with other communities during this time period.
