Dear Editor,

There are not enough words to express the gratitude that I feel towards everyone that assisted in any way with the collision that I was involved in on April 5, 2011. I can truthfully say that not only the official personnel that assisted, but all the bystanders that were there were so very kind and helpful to me. When these kind of things happen, it’s scary enough in itself, but there is a sense of relief when everyone is so caring and concerned.

Thanks so much to Nokomis Volunteer Fire Department for responding so quickly and a special thank you to Jerry Gehman that held my hand and prayed with me. It made me feel better just to see a familiar face.

Also, the wonderful gentleman that allowed me to sit in his truck while the paramedics worked with me, I am forever grateful. May God richly bless you.

Thanks so much to the Atmore Ambulance Service for your expertise in this situation. Everyone that responded were true professionals and it allowed me to relax a little bit knowing that I was in good hands.

A very special thank you to Atmore Community Hospital that worked with me so quickly. To the doctors, the nurses, the X-ray technician, the persons that did the CAT scan and the EKG, you made me feel as if I were the only patient that you had that day. Your professionalism as well as your caring spirit, I will always remember. And to Sussie McGhee, thank you so much for coming to ER and holding my hand and praying with me and the compassion you showed my family, I will be forever grateful.

A heartfelt thanks to Trooper Jimmy Dean for the support that you gave my family during this time. I am truly grateful.

And for all the phone calls, the visits, the messages that I received from my family, my Pastor, Bro. Don Davis, my church family, my friends and acquaintances and people in our community, I must say that I was overwhelmed by the love that I felt. Thank you all so much and may God bless you all.
