Construction has begun at the Rivercane Development in Atmore on a new McDonald’s location. Under current construction plans, the newest addition to the number of restaurants serving the Atmore area, completion is expected by fall. The construction came after much anticipation by officials with the City of Atmore finalized by a deal signed in October 2010. The construction is expected to cost approximately $386,000 to complete. The location will be conveniently situation on Alabama 21 North near the intersection of Interstate 65, just five miles north of downtown.
