Students, faculty and community leaders gathered at the flag pole in front of Escambia County Middle School Wednesday morning in observance of the annual “See You at the Pole” event.

Celebrated at schools all over the nation, “See You at the Pole” is a yearly chance for Christian students and faculty members to gather together on campus for prayer.

The event began humbly in 1990 in Burleson, Texas but has since spread nation wide and is now celebrated every year on the fourth Wednesday of September at schools across America.
