Annie May Woods

Annie May Woods, 91, of Lansdale, PA formerly of Pensacola, FL went home to the Lord on February 12, 2012 after a long battle with heart disease and dementia.

She was a bookkeeper and worked until her retirement in 1998. She attended the Warrington Methodist Church in Pensacola and the First Baptist Church of Lansdale. Her later years were lived at the Ambler Extended Care facility in Ambler, PA.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, George and Ollie Payne Woods; her sisters, Ruby Lee Lambert, Estelle Parker, Mary Willis, Thelma Sierra, and Gladys Petrantis; and her brothers, Edward, Otis and William Alfred Woods.

She was the beloved wife of the late Jack Harry Dunne Jr.; the mother of two grateful sons: Jack H. (Kathy) Dunne III and James T. (Carol) Dunne; was “Gram” to Kris, Hayes, Drew, and Whitney (Mark) Turner and was the great grandmother of Grace. Her sisters, Freddie (Gaines) Pezent, Louise (Glen) Jernigan, Hazel (Bob) Mason, also survive her as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Christian services will be held at Trahan Family Funeral Home in Pensacola, FL. Viewing for family and friends will be Saturday, February 18 from 9:30 am until the 10:30 am service. Interment will follow in Pensacola Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mothershed Cemetery in Atmore in care of Frances Biggs, 275 Dees Road, Atmore, AL 36502.
