Blue Flames slip past Athletics in Atmore T-ball action

The Atmore Utilities Blue Flames won a close game 5-4 over The Atmore Advance Athletics Monday night at Tom Byrne Park Atmore Cal Ripken T-ball action.

The Flames opened the game with four runs in the top of the first inning, as Nya Tucker, Garrett Harper, Duke Pettway and Tuari McGhee all scored runs.

In the bottom of the first, the Athletics tied the game up at 4 with Kole Stewart, Brodie Phillips, Lebron Kyles and Emmett Battle all crossing the plate.
With time on their side, the Blue Flames put the game away in the top of the second with Jamison McGhee scoring the winning run to give the Blue Flames the one-run win.

Shockers 3, Nailers 0
In a Atmore Cal Ripken T-ball match up, the Tri-co Electric Shockers defeated the Cornerstone Home Builders Nailers 3-0 at Tom Byrne Park.

The Shockers opened up the game scoring the three runs they would need to win, as Will Smith, Griffin Stafford and Donnie Fails all crossed home plate to put their team up 3-0.

The Nailers would have trouble getting runners on base in the game, with Tanner Sanspree reaching second base.
