An Atmore man was arrested Friday, April 27 in Pensacola following a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of W street and Fairfield Drive.

Casey Monta Coleman, 21 of 132 Patterson St., was charged with a misdemeanor second degree non-moving traffic violation after he was unable to provide officers on the scene with a valid drivers license.

Officers found no record of a valid license, but did find a criminal record that included a November 2010 arrest that included both a moving and non-moving traffic violation, a charge for attempting to a elude an officer, a robbery charge and a charge for  resisting an officer.

Coleman was arrested after becoming combative with officers and reporting he did not have a valid license and never had.

Coleman was transported to the jail in Pensacola where he was later released according to records from the Escambia County (Fla.) Sheriff’s office.
