A man driving a Dodge Avenger was killed in an early-morning wreck Wednesday on Alabama 21 near Fountain prison.

One person is dead after a two-vehicle collision that occurred on Alabama 21 “a stone’s throw” away from Fountain Correctional Facility Alabama State Troopers said.

The victim,  42-year-old correctional officer Kenneth Moore,  died as a result of injuries sustained in the accident.

The crash occurred at approximately 6 a.m. Wednesday, involving a blue Dodge Avenger sedan and a gray Ford pick-up truck.

Troopers working the case said they have yet to determine what caused the deadly crash.
