Atmore Christian School’s 2012 graduating class, nicknamed “The Five Guys,” celebrated commencement Friday in the school’s newly constructed gymnasium.

In a graduating class of only five, things can get competitive but at the end of the 2011-12 school year Atmore Christians School seniors Casey Freeman and Frisco Gehman emerged as this year’s valedictorian and salutatorian respectively.

Freeman ended his high school career with Friday night’s graduation ceremony at ACS as a three-year Academic All-Star with a grade point average of 3.74. He is also a two time recipient of the ACS Christian Character Award. While in high school Freeman also stayed busy with athletics, participating in basketball and baseball. He has received All-Conference awards in basketball for the past three years and won the Samford University 3 point shootout contest in 2011. Casey was also part of the winning golf team at the Casey Monroe Goft Tournament in 2012. Casey plans to pursue a degree in radiology and hopes to play golf at a higher level.
