James Maron Harrelson, 55, of Atmore, and the driver of the vehicle Boutwell was a passenger in, was injured and transported to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Fla. Popejoy also was injured and transported to Baptist Medical Center in Pensacola.

According to an officer aiding troopers on the scene Wednesday, Popejoy may have been traveling over the speed limit on the narrow dirt road, contributing to the collision and causing his truck to flip over top of the vehicle Harrelson and Boutwell were traveling in. Unconfirmed reports from the scene Wednesday indicated Popejoy may have suffered from two broken legs in addition to other possible injuries.
