Just after 4 p.m. Monday Alabama State Trooper Kevin Cook announced A Saraland man has died as a result of a head on collision Monday at approximately 6:40 a.m. on U.S. 31 in Canoe.

Robert Marcus Powell, 24, was killed when the 1994 Toyota he was driving collided with a 2008 Chevrolet driven by Jonathan Criswell, of Ray City, Ga.

State troopers are continuing to investigate the cause of Monday morning’s wreck.
