The Atmore Kappa League will be embarking on a “Get out and Vote” campaign next week in Atmore.

The Atmore Kappa League is planning to do their part to encourage voting during the current election year. Members of the Kappa League have decided to pursue the “Get out and Vote” campaign as their summer service project and will soon be walking the streets to encourage citizens to register to vote.

Kappa League President T.J. McReynolds said he wants the community to know and feel comfortable when they hear a knock on the door and look out to see a young man dressed in kappa league attire.

“We will have the registration forms in our hands along with a sample and pen to assist any citizens that may need assistance,” McReynolds said.

Kappa League members have also recently received training in the area of videography and are planning on putting their newfound knowledge to work on the campaign trail. They are learning how to produce and edit videos. They plan to utilize their skills by offering to produce a commercial DVD for each of the local mayoral candidates.
