The Atmore/PCI Animal Shelter is holding its first annual yard sale and pet adoption this weekend at the old Bargain Bin on North Main Street. The sale began Friday and will continue today from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Many dogs and cats are up for adoption. Susanne Sirmon, one of Atmore’s animal control officers, said she encourages people to adopt a pet on Saturday.

“All these are good natured dogs looking for homes,” Sirmon said.
