The summer’s third and final market in the park event, sponsored by the Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce, will be held Saturday at the First National Bank and Trust park from 7:30  until 11 a.m.

Chamber Director Sheryl Vickery said this ‘Market’ event will be a little different from the first two.

“We’re going to be doing some different things,” Vickery said. “We’re going to have some arts and crafts and just some different things available.”

Some of the new aspects of the event will include a “How-To” presentation” at 10 a.m. by Doug Smith with Central Farm Supply.  Doug will explain how to prepare for a winter garden.

As always fresh food and locally grown items, raised or made no more than thirty miles from Atmore, will be featured in the event.
Vickery said the last of the three markets will include peaches, tomatoes, watermelons, okra, honey, syrup, indoor and outdoor plants, cut flowers, fresh eggs, jellies, jams, preserves, chow-chow, pickles, and more.

Vickery said the event will also include some vendors who will be present later on this year when the chamber hosts the annual Williams Station Day event.
