Genevia Davison Jennings

Mrs. Genevia Davison Jennings, 56, of Copperas Cove, Tx., formerly of Atmore, died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012, at White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Tx.

She was a graduate of Escambia County High School in 1975 and received her Associate degree in general studies from Faulkner State Community College in Bay Minette and attended West Florida University in Pensacola. She was a member of Copperas Cove United Pentecostal Church where she was President of the 40’s and over group, Nursing Home Ministry, Outreach Group and the Church Music Ministry. Genevia worked as a retail sales manager and her most recent position was with American Greeting Cards. She was an active member of the PTA and National Night-Out organization of Copperas Cove.

She was preceded in death by: Her parents, Curtis and Mary Davison; two brothers, Carl and Lee Davison; and a nephew, Kendrick Dortch.

She is survived by: Her husband, Drexie Jennings of Copperas Cove; one daughter, Sharlette Jennings of Lufkin, Tx.; three sons, Conrad Jennings, David Jennings and Kent Jennings, all of Copperas Cove; eight sisters, her twin, Renevia (Glenn) Johnson, of Jasper; Sharon (Johnny) Trayvick of Phenix City; Barbara Dortch of Troy; Sandra (Wayne, Sr.) Gray of Atmore; Mary (Donald) Woods and Quanda Davison both of Jeffersonville, Ind.; Kathryn (James) Rogers of Minneapolis, Minn; Sheila (Paul) Johnson of Newburgh, N.Y.; three brothers, Curtis (Linda) Davison and Wilfred (Janice) Davison both of Atmore and Sherman (Cylinda) Davison of Marietta, Ga.; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012 at Copperas Cove United Pentecostal Church in Copperas Cove, with the Rev. Donnie Hendrick, officiating. Public viewing will be held from 2 until 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, in the

Longmire-Jones Memorial Chapel of Turner Funeral Chapel in Atmore. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012 at the Fairview Cemetery in Atmore with the Rev. Matthew Davis, officiating.
