The cooperative education program at Escambia County High School is designed to give students the opportunity to work off-campus one to two hours a day while enrolled in their senior year of high school. The program will begin at the end of September.

The following requirements must be met for students to enroll in co-op: senior status, passed all parts of the Alabama High School Graduation Exam, on track for graduation (not missing any credits), good attendance record, no serious discipline referrals and concentrator status in a career technical program (at least two years of ct classes).

ECHS staff members have said they are very excited about this opportunity, not only for the students to earn some “real-world” experience, but also to give local businesses the opportunity to become proactive in the education of the students.
