Eunice Powell Brantley Smith

FLOMATON – Eunice Powell Brantley Smith, 88, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Sept. 17, 2012 in Century, Fla.

She was a homemaker, born in Pollard on Sept. 4, 1924 to the Late C.T. and Rachel Nowling Powell. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Flomaton.
Her husbands, John H. Brantley and Allen Smith; five brothers; and one sister preceded her in death.

Survivors include three sons, Jimmy (Faye) Brantley of Flomaton, Wayne A. (Sandra) Smith and Vernon (Janet) Smith both of Valley; one daughter, Carolyn (Haywood) Rowland of Flomaton; four grandchildren, Bunkie Murph, Malett Rowland, John Brantley and Missy Brantley; and  two great grandchildren, Christopher Rowland and Jordan Rowland.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012 from the First Baptist Church of Flomaton with the Rev. Jerry Keese, the Rev. J.T. Guyton and the Rev. Dustin Stockstill officiating. Interment followed in Flomaton Cemetery. Family received friends from 6 until 8 p.m.

Tuesday evening Sept. 18, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Flomaton.

Active Pallbearers were Mickey Powell, Kenny Powell, Scottie Waller, Jordan Rowland, Speedy Brantley and Dewey Bondurant.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc was in charge of all arrangements.
