Northview High School celebrates homecomingPublished 5:00am Wednesday, October 24, 2012
Northview High School students are in the midst of homecoming week and students are in the middle of engaging in everything from float preparation to dress up days.
The week’s events will all culminate with the Chiefs homecoming football match up with the Vernon Yellow Jackets Friday night in Bratt.
Northview teacher Allison Robinson said the events will continue today as the Chiefs will participate in a homecoming court breakfast, where the maids in this year’s court will be recognized at 9 a.m.
While Northview students held their official homecoming dance last Friday night, there will be no shortage of activities this Friday, including the annual homecoming parade which will be held at 12:30 p.m. and will run from Bratt Elementary School to Northview High School.
Northview will also be preparing for the return of many alumni who will gather with current student, parents and fans to cheer on the Chiefs football team as they battle for a 6-2 record and a higher ranking in the Florida High School Athletic Association ranking.
Northview High School will dismiss early, getting out at noon Friday and kickoff for the Chiefs game against Vernon is scheduled for 7 p.m.
