Chiefs move onPublished 12:18am Saturday, November 3, 2012
The Northview Chiefs fell behind early in their pivotal district game against the Baker Gators, but Neiko Robinson quickly answered and the Chiefs never looked back.
The Chiefs fell behind 6-0 in the first quarter, snapping a streak of 10 quarters without allowing a touchdown. However, the Chiefs started a new streak by not allowing a touchdown for the final three quarters and coming away with a 40-6 win.
The win not only clinches a playoff berth for the Chiefs, but also ensures the team will have home-field advantage in the first round of the playoffs because the Chiefs officially won their district by defeating Baker.
Neiko Robinson got the scoring started with a 69-yard touchdown in the first quarter to put the Chiefs on top 7-6. From there, the Chiefs built their lead to 14-6 at halftime.
After the half, they came out even stronger, eventually finishing with the 40-6 win.
