Atmore man killed in car wreck

Officials with the Alabama State Troopers have confirmed one person died as the result of a single-car accident early Saturday morning in Canoe.
At approximately 4:45 a.m. Edward Daniel Kilpatrick White, of Atmore, was killed when his 1968 Mercury left the roadway on U.S. 31 and flipped several times before coming to a rest.
There were no passengers in the vehicle and no other cars were involved.
An investigation by trooper Zacharey Richburg is still underway into the cause of Saturday’s fatal accident.
