Rams entering tough conference play

Now is a critical stretch for the Atmore Christian Rams basketball team. That’s because five of the next six games before Christmas break begins are conference games.

Head coach Tim Battles said he was impressed with a recent practice and the hard work and improvement he has seen from his team of late. He stressed the team must continue to improve if they are to have a successful season.

Tuesday’s game against East Hill would figure to be one of their toughest conference games. East Hill Christian School is one of the better basketball teams in the Panhandle Christian Conference this season. A win over a tough opponent would be a big boost for the Rams. Thursday the team will face another conference foe in Trinitas Christian School.

The Rams are coming off a big 45-26 win over West Florida Baptist Academy.

Atmore Christian plays Trinitas Christian on Thursday at the Atmore Christian School’s gym, with tipoff set for 5:30 p.m.
