Santa Paws supports animal shelter

Santa spent the morning taking pictures at the Santa Paws event.

Some pets were dressed in the proper attire, while others were more casual. Some customers brought their kids along, too.

On Saturday, K-9 Kleaners was busy most of the morning with the annual Santa Paws event where pets have the opportunity to have their pictures taken with Santa for five dollars a picture. All proceeds from the event directly benefit the Atmore/PCI Animal Shelter.

Sheryl Vickery, a volunteer at the Atmore/PCI Animal Shelter, said the cause Santa Paws sought to support is essential.

“It’s so important to keep the shelter open,” she said during the event. “We are so fortunate to have the wonderful people at the shelter. I only work Saturdays for a good cause and this is definitely a good cause. I had a good time. We’ve had a great day.”
