Chamber Director Sheryl Vickery talks with Atmore Lions Club members about the importance of shopping at home.

Shopping at home has many advantages for Atmore residents, and Wednesday Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce Director Sheryl Vickery was driving home the point as the special guest speaker at the Atmore Lions Club.

Lion Patty Helton Davis said the speech was informative and a great reminder for residents to support their local economy.

“Atmore Lions were given an update on events happening in and around Atmore for the holidays and encouraged to shop Atmore first,” Davis said.  “Also Sheryl shared with the club events upcoming for the new year.”

Jus Because is only one example of the many deals to be had at tonight’s event, which will begin at 4 p.m. and wrap up at 7 p.m. Businesses will also offer refreshments and entertainment from the Escambia County High School Choral Group and “Chamber Elves” caroling.
