Escambia County High School’s Desmond Williams scores with a slam dunk Saturday night in a win against Vigor.

The Escambia County High School Blue Devils beat Vigor 64-57 Saturday night to improve to 11-6 on the season.

“I liked the way we controlled the entire game,” said coach Earlando Courtney. “We had a 16-point lead, but we did not put them away. If you let good teams hang around it’ll get you beat.

When you play against quality teams you can’t allow yourselves to give up leads,” he said. “You have to extend the lead. It boils down to getting good shots.”
