The Atmore Christian School Rams moved to 5-14 on the year after a 63-24 loss to S.L. Jones Thursday.

“They are very tall, very athletic and on paper are much more dominating than we are,” Rams coach Tim Battles said of S.L. Jones. “For the most part we did what we needed to do to play as well as we could against them.”

S.L. Jones played dominating defense and were able to block shots “pretty easily,” which led to a 29-7 halftime lead.

Battles said his team responded well to a call to work on fundamentals, including better passing and more aggressive defense in the second half.

The Rams play four road games next week, starting with Trinitas at 5:30 p.m. Monday in Pensacola.

The Rams played Cedar Lake Friday for senior night, but results weren’t available as of press time.
