Hannah Fountain, left, was one of three local athletes to sign with collegiate sports programs Wednesday during national signing day.

While many college football fans focused on their favorite teams Wednesday during the 2013 national signing day, several local seniors also broke out their pins to sign on the dotted line.

At Escambia Academy the focus was not on football, but softball, as coach Hugh Fountain’s daughter, Hannah Fountain, signed with Alabama Southern Community College.

At Northview High School, senior football players Neiko Robinson and Blake McCall both signed with collegiate programs months after helping the Chiefs to their first state championship.
