MoonPies and beads fell like rain in downtown Atmore Saturday afternoon as the annual Ladies of Essence Mardi Gras parade took to the streets en route from Atmore City Hall to Houston Avery Park.

Horses, motorcycles and even a live DJ were all part of the festivities that kept kids and adults alike filling bags with goodies all afternoon.
