The National Weather Service has predicted minor flooding for the Conecuh River on Tuesday afternoon.

The weather service office in Mobile issued a flood warning from Tuesday afternoon until further notice.

A 6 Sunday morning, the flood stage of the river was 20.3 feet, with minor flooding forecast.

Flood stage is 27 feet, and the river is forecast to rise above flood stage by Tuesday afternoon and continue to rise to near 27.8 feet by Wednesday early afternoon.

“At 28 feet, flooding of farmlands will gradually subside as the river level falls below 17 feet and continues to drop,” the weather service’s bulletin states.
