PERDIDO – Charlene Gaffney Trawick of Perdido passed away peacefully on April 30, 2013, after battling cancer. She attended Grace Fellowship Church and used to work as a hostess at David’s Catfish House in Atmore. Years ago, her love of horses involved horse shows and competitions. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother and she graduated from Murphy High School in Mobile.

Her mother, Fannie Gaffney and her daughter, Patricia White preceded her in death.

She leaves behind to treasure her memories, her husband J.D. “Dwayne” Trawick of Perdido; her father, James (Sylvia) Gaffney of Saraland; sons, Mark (Amy) White of Tennessee and Jimmy (Jenny) White of Petal, Miss.; two brothers; John (Annette) Gaffney of Mobile and Mike Gaffney of Atmore; one sister, Judy Nichols of Saraland; four grandchildren, Justin White, Sydney White, Rebecca Ferguson and Ty White; and many special nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday May 4, 2013, from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gene King officiating. Burial will follow in Perdido Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 4, 2013, from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
