Rebecca Louise Turner Nipper

URIAH – Rebecca Louise Turner Nipper was born on Nov. 6, 1926, to Equilla and Bertie Turner in Cummings, Ga. She later moved to Sycamore, Ga. and on Jan. 16, 1945, married James E. Nipper Sr.

She was known as “Mema” and lived in Uriah for 58 years. She was a true southern belle and a homemaker. She was the oldest member of the Uriah United Methodist church.

Her parents, Equilla and Bertie Turner; her husband, James E. Nipper Sr.; son-in-law, George H. Blanks; and a sister, Jacqueline Turner Brown preceded her in death.

She is survived by five children, Johnny Bill (Barbara) Nipper, Rebecca Ann Blanks, Deborah Jean (Mark) Newhauser, James “Jimmy” E. (Rebecca) Nipper Jr. and Robert Alan (Teresa) Nipper; two sisters, Elizabeth Bostick and Bonnie (High) Baughn; one sister at heart, Eulene Tucker; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and one God son, James Logan Ives.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today, May 1, 2013, at Uriah United Methodist Church with Mr. Jimmy Tucker officiating. Interment will follow in Uriah Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 until the 11 a.m. service time today, May 1, 2013, at Uriah United Methodist Church.
