Northview High School senior football player Kahlil Grice has come a long way since freshman year.

The 18-year-old has worked his way up from team manager to being one of five NHS seniors that will play on Saturdays next fall as he signed Thursday afternoon with Mesabi Range Community and Technical College in Virginia, Minnesota.

“It’s a great opportunity for him to continue his education and for him to continue to play football,” Northview football coach Sid Wheatley said. “He started as team manager and has come a long way.”
