A man has been hospitalized for a gunshot wound and a woman is in jail in Pensacola following an apparent burglary attempt Friday afternoon in Walnut Hill that led to the victim shooting the male suspect.

According to information from the Escambia County Sheriff’s Department, Ricky Taylor and Teresa Sunday were with charged with burglary of a residence and grand theft of a dwelling following the incident.

Taylor was taken to a local hospital after reportedly being shot in the leg. Sunday has been booked into the Escambia County Jail on $5,000 bond.
