Perdido students honored by school board

Perdido Elementary/Middle School students received letters of commendation from Baldwin County School’s Director of Communications Terry Wilhite for their outstanding achievement on the state level in various competitions related to economics.

Placing first with their video for the “American Free Enterprise System and Me” were Emily Stewart, Bethany Hadley and Micah Murphy. Macaila Sims received an honorable mention for her essay, “American Free Enterprise System and Me.” Placing sixth in the Personal Finance Challenge was the team of Emily Stewart, Kaitlyn Johnson, Bethany Hadley and Micah Murphy. Placing ninth were Ashley Presley, Wesley Rabren, Caleb Hicks and Tori Clark. Placing tenth were Jakob Cain, Dylan Brunson, Gabriel Poole and Dalton Hicks. Winners in the Stock Market Game were: The second place team made up of Evan Williams, Danielle Pelfrey, Sydney Stewart and Katelyn Cox; the sixth place team of Cady Livermore, Samantha Gilliam and Macaila Sims; the tenth place team of Tanner Smith, Travis Snider and John Jenks.
