Saturday will mark the first Market in the Park event of the 2013 summer at First National Bank and Trust.

Although the first Market event, planned for May, had to be canceled due to colder-than-normal temperatures, Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce Director Sheryl Vickery said she is hoping the event’s next three showings will make up for the delay.

“We’ve got people with all kinds of things for Saturday,” Vickery said. “We’ll have squash, homemade bread, jams, jellies and anything else that is ready at this point.”

Vickery said Saturday’s event will also feature a presentation by Green Acres Farms, located in Davisville, Fla.

Vickery said additional Market events are planned for the second Saturdays in both July and August.

Saturday’s event will run from 7:30 until 11 a.m.
