Lila Irene Steadham Gibson

ATMORE – Mrs. Lila Irene Steadham Gibson, 92, of Atmore passed away June 6, 2013, in Atmore.

She was born in Baldwin County on July 27, 1920, to the late Will and Lemma Tolin Jenks.

She was a retired seamstress from Vanity Fair Mills.

The father of her children, Aubrey Lee Steadham; the late husband, Elbert Gibson; and one son Aubrey Lee Steadham, Jr. preceded her in death.

She is survived by one son, Charles Eugene Steadham of McCullough; two daughters, Thelma Irene Digman of Robinsonville and Betty Joyce Gibson of Atmore; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral Services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday June 9, 2013, from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Robert Loyd and Elder Gene Freeland officiating. Interment was held in Steadham Cemetery. Family received friends from 6  until 8 p.m. Saturday, evening June 8, 2013, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers were Joshua James Edwards, Johnny Mack Steadham, Ricky Ray Matthew Maddox, Enrico Marcello Ramieri, Thunder Lynn McGhee and Aubery Eugene Rolin.

Honorary pallbearers were her nephews.
