Chief Deputy Mike Lambert said Tuesday deputies with the Escambia County Sheriff’s Department are still searching for the person who shot a man twice on Ewing Farm Road on Monday morning.

Lambert said the victim, an adult male whose identity has not been released, received “flesh wounds” after being shot in the leg and arm by a small-caliber handgun.

Lambert said the victim reported being followed from the PCI Travel Plaza on Jack Springs Road by a small gray truck. The victim told deputies he stopped his vehicle on Ewing Farm Road after the truck began flashing its lights, at which point he was fired at three times and struck twice, according to Lambert.
