DAPHNE – Willie Hilary Hicks, 79, of Daphne passed away Thursday Aug. 8, 2013, in Foley. He was a heavy equipment operator with International Paper Co., born in Huxford on Jan. 15, 1934, to the late Hilary and Vasnti Lomas Hicks.

He attended the Jubilee Baptist Church in Daphne.

His first wife, Flossie Hicks; a brother, Hubbard Hicks; and a sister, Alma Chason preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Reed Hicks, of Daphne; two brothers, Charles (Jane) Hicks, of Macon, Ga. and Eugene (Arlie) Hicks, of California; six step-children; and his nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Aug. 14, 2013, from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul Matthews officiating. Interment will follow in Huxford Baptist Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10 until the 11 a.m. service time today, Aug. 14, 2013, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers are Ryan Chason, C.W. Burnette, Curtis Hicks, Kevin Chason, Blake Reed and Troy Reed Jr.
