WALNUT HILL, Fla. — Mr. David Lewis Brown, 59, of Walnut Hill, Fla., transitioned from his earthly life on Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013, at Specialty Select Health Care in Pensacola.

He was a native of Escambia County, and a graduate of Escambia County Training School. He was a retired chief steward at Fountain Correctional Facility and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, at the House of Prayer Church in Walnut Hill, with Pastor Danny Fountain officiating.

Retirement of his remains with full military honors will be in the Barancas National Cemetery in Pensacola. There will be a family hour from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Turner Funeral Chapel, LLC directing.
