The Northview High School volleyball team won both matches in a tri-match Thursday night against Central and Jay.

The Lady Chiefs, playing on their home floor, beat Central 25-10 and 25-19 in a two-game sweep before dispatching Jay, 25-16, 8-25 and 15-9 in preseason action.

In the first game, Lana Clayton had three aces and had eight kills. Tiffani Pritchett had five aces, three kills and two digs.

In the second game, Lily Townson had two aces and 12 assists, while Danielle Steadham finished with one ace and six kills.

The Lady Chiefs take on Holmes County at 5 p.m. Monday in Bratt before hosting Pensacola Catholic at 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

Their first road match is at 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5 at district foe Baker.
