The Atmore Christian School volleyball team went 2-2 in a season opening tournament last week hosted by West Florida Baptist Academy in Milton.

Charity Hall and Grace Kilcrease were selected to the all-tournament team.

The Lady Rams defeated Berean Christian 25-7 and 25-19 before falling to the host team 16-25 and 19-25 on Thursday.

Coach Daniel Hubbard said ACS fought hard against the eventual champs, but “had trouble handling big serves.”

ACS lost to Calvary Christian 12-25 and 16-25 Friday.

“In this game we played poorly and made many unforced errors, like missed serves,” Hubbard said.

The Lady Rams then beat Berean again in the tournament’s consolation game by the scores of 25-18 and 25-20.

“We ended on a good note and were able to use some of our reserves,” Hubbard said.

The Lady Rams’ next game is Thursday against Escambia Academy at 4 p.m. in Canoe.
