The president, executive committee and general membership of the Concerned Citizens of Atmore want to thank the mayor, business and civic organizations, as well as the citizens of this city for their participation and support of Unity Day in the Houston Avery Park on Saturday, Aug. 17.
Because of you, we were able to distribute more than 198 school uniforms and countless notebooks, pencils and erasers to those in need, without any out-of-pocket expense to them. In addition, we gave away hot dogs and hamburgers to all who attended.
Finally, we want to thank those unnamed citizens who helped us kick off the program and the volunteers who assisted us in any way.
