Officer treated my family well

Dear Editor,

My family was in Atmore on Wednesday night in the shopping center where Fred’s and Burkes is located, and our vehicle would not start.

Sgt. John Stallworth, with the Atmore Police Department, came to our rescue and after three attempts got our vehicle started. He was also courteous and kind enough to follow us to the auto parts store, with his lights flashing behind us until we were safely in the store’s parking lot and could get our vehicle fixed.

He even offered my husband the use of his truck, if needed for us to take our granddaughter home to Bay Minette. He also came back to check on us later that night.

This meant so much to my entire family, because our 2-year-old granddaughter was in the vehicle and was very irritable.

I just wanted to see that he got special recognition for all of the good things that he did for us. Atmore is very blessed to have a man of his character. For sure, we need somebody like him in Bay Minette.

Again, a big thanks to John Stallworth from Larry, Anne, Mandi and Annsleigh Wilson, of Bay Minette.
