The Northview Chiefs were dominated Friday in a 31-0 road loss to Blountstown.

Chiefs’ coach Sid Wheatley said the game was closer than the score would indicate, as Northview trailed 14-0 at halftime, but he gave credit to the Tigers.

“They’ve got a good team,” Wheatley said. “We didn’t play well.”

He said the Chiefs moved the ball down the field, but gave up big plays on defense at inopportune times, which was costly.

With the loss, the Chiefs fall to 3-6 on the year, but will travel to Vernon for the first round of the FHSAA Class 1A playoffs.
