Patricia Ann “K. K. Whatley” Mendez, 57, of Bay Minette, passed away Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013, in Bay Minette.

She was a homemaker, born in Bay Minette on July 16, 1957, to the late Linsey and Nora Bryars Whatley.

Those who preceded her in death include her parents; brothers, Herman Whatley, Howard Whatley, Robert Whatley and Harold Whatley; and a sister, Hazel Whatley.

Survivors are two sons, Mario D. Mendez and Mark C. Mendez; two brothers, Harvest Whatley and Henry Whatley, all of Bay Minette; two sisters, Barbara Whatley Adams and Marie Whatley Hancock and seven grandchildren.

Services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home chapel, with Sis. Helen Stewart officiating. Family received friends from 1 p.m. until the 2:30 p.m. service time.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc., was entrusted with all service arrangements.
