Ms. Inez Travis Grant, 80, of Bay Minette, entered into paradise on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope.

She was a native of Monroe County and had lived several years in Atmore before relocating to Bay Minette. She was a graduate of Southern Normal Training School in Brewton.

She had worked many years as an assembly worker at Standard Furniture in Bay Minette and then she worked in housekeeping with Brett-Robinson Condos in Gulf Shores. In her leisure, she enjoyed dancing.

Those who preceded her in death include her parents, Tom and Nurilla Travis; one son, Thomas Grant; and one sister, Bertha Travis.

Those left to embrace her memories are one daughter, Juanita Dailey of St. Paul, Minn.; one son, Danny Grant of Bay Minette; one brother, Isaac Travis of Mobile; 12 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22, at the Longmire/Jones Memorial Chapel of Turner Funeral Chapel, with Bro. Mack Salter presiding. Interment will be in the Stallworth Cemetery, with Turner Funeral Chapel, LLC, directing.
