Escambia County High School is expected to name its next football coach Thursday afternoon.

ECHS principal Dennis Fuqua said he has narrowed his choices down to two final candidates, and he will recommend one of them to the Escambia County Board of Education on Thursday. The board will vote on Fuqua’s recommendation at its regular meeting, which is scheduled for Thursday at 4:30 p.m. in the ECHS library.
