Mr. Timothy Lynn Powell, 51, of Uriah, died Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014, in a Mobile hospital.

He was a native of Atmore but had lived in Uriah for most of his life. He was a member of the Uriah United Methodist Church and a graduate of Auburn University School of Pharmacy. He was a pharmacist at Walmart in Monroeville.

He is survived by his wife, Judy H. Powell of Uriah; one daughter, Jessie Powell of Uriah; one stepson, James Scott (Kristi) Graham of Duncanville; parents, Vertice and Gladys Powell of Uriah; two brothers, Allen Powell and Steve (Patricia) Powell, both of Uriah, and one nephew, Steven Powell of Uriah.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Diane Everette, the Rev. Mike Grindle and the Rev. Edward McKibben officiating. Interment followed in Uriah Cemetery. Visitation was held from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home on Tuesday, Jan. 22.
