Nehesi Nefretarik Jones

Mr. Nehesi Nefretarik Jones, 38, of Century, Fla., transitioned into sweet rest on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, at Specialty Select Hospital in Pensacola.

He was a native of Flomaton and lived in Los Angeles, Calif., for many years before returning back and residing in Milton and Century, Fla.

He was a graduate of Animo South High School in South Los Angeles, Calif., and he attended El Camino Community College in Gardenia, Calif.

Mr. Jones was a member of the West Angeles C.O.G.I.C in Los Angeles, where Bishop Charles Blake was his pastor. He his leisure he enjoyed traveling, singing, music, basketball, fishing and the company of being around people.

Memories of his life will live on in the hearts of his mother, Valerie Jones of Century, Fla.; his father, Ezzard Bright of Century, Fla.; one sister, Candasi Neilly of Pensacola, Fla.; two brothers, Trentice Jones and Keith Neilly, both of Los Angeles, Calif.; and two grandmothers, Barbara Ries and Ella Rose Culliver, both of Century, Fla.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, at the Longmire/Jones Memorial Chapel of Turner Funeral Chapel, with Minister Travis Griffin officiating and Turner Funeral Chapel, LLC, directing.
