NHS wins awards at state FBLA

Northview High School students picked up several awards at a recent state conference in Orlando, Fla.

The NHS students participated in the Future Business Leaders of America State Leadership Conference, held March 21-24, at the Hilton Orlando in Orlando, Fla. Members competed among more than 3,600 other FBLA members from across the state of Florida.

• Victoria Wright — Impromptu Speaking, first place.

• Kasie Braun — Business Communication, third place.

NHS faculty members involved with the FLBA program would like to especially thank Wright and Braun for their outstanding service to FBLA. Each of them has served as district officers for the past three years. Both have won the Gloria Cooper Award and Who’s Who in FBLA Award for outstanding service to their club, school, and community. The NHS chapter was also recognized this year as the District 1 Outstanding Chapter of the Year for being the most active chapter.

Wright and Braun are eligible to attend the 2014 National Leadership Conference in Nashville, Tenn., from June 29 through July 2.

Wright and Braun are also Graphic Design Award winners and will be representing Northview’s Graphic Arts Academy at the MIRA Awards held at New World Landing on Thursday, March 27.
